Normally, insurance cost covers the item from the time the liner is loaded to the ship up the period it is offloaded. You never know what might happen to the ship while the item is being transported. To avoid any loss, many shipping companies will incur the insurance cost even without your knowledge.

To add on that, you should be prepared to face some delays. Although it is the dream of every person to get their luggage on time, sometimes the delay may occur. Due to that, some sellers will include some charges on these services although some companies do it for free.

Thus, it is the responsibility of a shipping company to pay the services of the offloading the cargo. However, some company will charge the offloading charges.
