The Racing History Of Yamaha Motorcycles From A Yamaha Motorcyle Dealer In Riverside CA

By Anabel Clark

Both the manufacturing and racing history of a motorcycle brand may be important concerns for those who may be considering making a purchase. Quality vehicles often come with a hefty price tag and choosing the best option may not be a concern that should be left to chance. By shopping with the best motorsports dealer Riverside County residents may find what they seek more easily.

In 2003, Checa and Marco Melandri represented the team and the pair had a decent season but no podium finishes. Then, in 2004, Valentino Rossi joined Checa and Rossi had 9 wins including the championship. Colin Edwards replaced Checa in 2005, the same year Rossi collected another championship win, proving the effectiveness of Yamaha Motorcycles.

Rossi and Edwards stayed with the Yahama Factory team through 2007. In 2006, Rossi earned 5 wins and came in 2nd in the MotoGP championship. For the 2007 season, both riders rode the new Yamaha YZR-M1 800cc bike. Rossi won 4 races, finishing 3rd for the season. For 2008, Rossi got a new teammate and challenger, Jorge Lorenzo. Although the two riders had different pit boxes (Rossi used Bridgestone tires and Lorenzo preferred Michelin), Yamaha continued to compete as a single brand.

Rossi took the title and won 9 of 18 races, making it to the podium in almost every race. Meanwhile, Lorenzo was learning fast and got a victory at Estoril, while finishing 4th in the championship race. The next year, 2009, saw Yamaha Motorcycles dominating MotoGP as Rossi won the title and Lorenzo took 2nd place.

Online research is often essential for ensuring that smarter and more informed purchases can be made. Rushing into a major purchase or investing in a vehicle that future owners know little about is often a regrettable mistake. Learning more about various options and comparing different dealerships and vehicles in greater detail is often a smart move.

Doing business with a better class of dealership can make quite a difference. Access to an expanded selection of vehicles or the chance to make more cost effective purchases are not matters that should be left to chance. It always pays to shop with the best.
